Creation; Part One

Creation; Part One

Vague and formless, long before there was anything but
God’s Spirit brooded
God was in the deep
God was the fluid deep
And God is the great amorphous deep
Into mystery, Deep invites

“More and more people are seeing this:
they enter the mystery, abandoning themselves to God.”
From Psalm 40:3; MSG

Superficial stubbornly tempts, while Deep thoughtfully invites
Surface or sacred, in each moment, I choose
God is the deep
Deep invites me into mystery
God invites me to be mystery, too

“Your eyes are wells of light, deep with mystery.”
From Song of Solomon 7:4; MSG
