Spirit hovered, created, agonized and wept over the shadows under Her wings.
All of life, destined for resurrection, would first have to pass through death.
And so creation lived, died and decomposed back into the earth, leaving Spirit to brood. The re-creation of new life provided something to sustain us, something to enjoy.
Then God showed Himself in flesh.
Jesus lived, loved and died, leaving Spirit to brood.
His resurrection gave us Someone to worship, someone to follow.
And then, God put an awareness of Herself within me.
Spirit invited me to become one with,
rather than to remain separate from or other than.
Now, I live, I love, I die, I walk away, leaving Spirit to brood. The springs that bubble up in the desert lands of my own being invite others…
to live, to love, to die and to let go, leaving Spirit to once again, brood.
