Do you remember what healing energy feels like? What if you let go of the fear of being rejected by those with whom you no longer resonate? How would shedding, what no longer serves your growth, encourage other people’s life choices?
Being Year of the Snake, I asked Google: What happens to a snake that does not shed its skin?
AI Overview
…it would eventually suffer from significant health complications, including potential infections, restricted movement…impaired vision from retained eye caps…ultimately leading to death…
Imagine being blind. Now, visualize scales falling from your eyes and for the first time, seeing the expansiveness of life. In that moment, your harsh judgments turn to Christlike compassion. Finally, you understand that what you do to another, you do to yourself.
Letting go isn’t easy, especially if you stay in the same place. The more intertwined you are in organizational systems (business, religious, political or communal), the more difficult it is to let go. That’s when you learn the price of personal freedom vs. the cost of belonging.
Freedom’s price begins with loneliness. As you allow yourself time to adjust, include your body, mind and spirit. Ground yourself on Earth, allowing Nature to provide experiences of communion. Delve deeper into practices that feed your soul. Explore the spirit world.
For a time you will vacillate between pretending, while spending time with people who invalidate you, and retreating to a space where you are alone, yet fully accepted. Know that in time, like-minded/hearted people will cross your path and perhaps join you.
The cost of over attachment to belonging is not knowing the Sacred within…the intimate moments of Spirit embracing spirit. Love (God) collaborates with you to create the world. If this world disturbs you, let Great and Holy Spirit guide you.
In short, be grateful for every encounter that got you to this point, but realize that, like Snake, you were meant to transmute. What if one act of shedding what no longer nurtures nor challenges you, leads another person to let go and become more authentic, compassionate and inclusive?
